April 4 was a great day for the girls at Krasnosyolka orphanage.
It is a special place where there are about 160 girls. All of them have special needs and mental disability.
We were privileged to accompany the Odessa Children's Charity organization that donated 20 orthopedic beds for these girls.
God gave us a great opportunity to give these precious children a wonderful holiday!
Vinnie the Pooh, Bugs Bunny and other charecters were giving out the presents to each girl
The balloons were a great delight for the girls. There was a Puppet theatre at the orphanage as well that presented a very interesting play for all the girls
We enjoyed talking to many of the children. There is a big age rate at the orphanage: 6 to 40. Sometimes you cannot say their age because of their actions.....but all of them are waiting for...a "mama". They all love hugs, talking to you, care and just to be loved
Along with a Teddy bears for each girl we gave out the Children's Bible story books, the colouring books and the crayolas
This is little Alyona. When she first came to the orphanage she could not speak or walk. Some time has passed and now you can see a great picture of her standing. She can talk a little and walk almost with no help. Praise the Lord!
This is one of the children's play room. Since there are so many girls that cannot walk or have really severe mental disability, they stay in the seperate play rooms.
Our team was touched by what they have experienced in this trip. When you see these girls in needs all your problems go far away and you realize: " what a blessed and happy person you are and how much you have to be thankful to God for".
We express a special gratitude to Odessa Children's Charity for giving us this great opportunity to visit this special girl's orphanage and be a small part in their great project.
