Camp "Raduga"
An idea to run a day camp for the first time on behalf of Heritage CF was born about half a year ago. We began to pray: - “Does God want us to do it?...we have no money, no territory, no team!” And in the beginning of the summer we knew the answer: - “Yes, He does!” “Raduga” wanted to serve the children of any age in the village Sychavka nearby Yujniy. Our shelter became a small territory at the church Foster Home property.
So, we began...
Working on putting up the tent
Having fun preparing the decorations!..
Children from the Foster home helped to give out the invitations and to put the posters up!
They did a great job!The Lord gathered the team from different churches, even more to say, different cities! We became a family…and it took us only a week!
Meet our stuff!
Slavik - a director of the camp
Galya - a coordinator of the camp
Vera - a sportleader and a medical nurse in the camp
Ruslan - Bible story teller
Alyona - a leader of a red team
Alyona - a leader of a blue team and a music conductor
Olesya - a leader of a green team. Cheers!
Tanya - a leader of a yellow team
Vanya - an operator
Yulya - a videogirl
Heavenly Father took care of our finances. You would never believe how he touched the hearts of the people who played a tremendous role in setting up this camp. FRIENDS! You even cannot comprehend HOW MUCH you did for “these little once you’ve loved in His name”.
Here you can see the names of almost all of them!
“Raduga” experienced a “test on solidity of our faith” and dedication to this ministry on the first day, actually, night when after many weeks of dry weather we had a great storm in Sychavka. That first morning we were looking with horror in our eyes at the tent cover and all the decorations laying in the puddles everywhere. There were no borders for our frustration. But God was there, right beside us and looking at our reaction. He helped us to put everything up again and began His work that day at that very time we had planned ahead! God is good and sovereign!
Frustrating!!
Recovering!!!
God is so GOOD!
The camp would start its work at 4.00 pm and finish at 8.00 pm. These several hours were full with activities: many songs, sport games, crafts, Bible story and friendly atmosphere. We had about 40 children coming every day. As we found out later it was even more than the local citizens expected. Good surprise!
Also “Raduga” was happy to welcome guests! Our faithful friend Puppet theatre “Raduga”!
We enjoyed the company a lot!
We had an opportunity to go to Middle Age time and watch a real Knight’s show! We admired the way how valorous Knight would fight for the Princess. It was fabulous!
A Knight won a kiss from the Princess!
For those who thought they were almighty could compete with Alex from Kiev – A man of Strength. It was a captivating show of Hercules, who nailed the nails with one hand, would bend an armature with his hands and teeth only and many other things!
Big children at work!
